The Limited Edition MB Viper from Bremont
Introducing the limited edition Bremont MB Viper: a new generation of pilot's watch, brought to life through the collaboration between Bremont and Martin-Baker. Limited to only 300 pieces, this timepiece is not only a testament to the brand's design, engineering, and manufacture, but also showcases a different design direction for Bremont.
The concept behind the MB Viper began as a case to house Bremont's ENG300 movement series during rigorous tests. Bremont created a concept test instrument, partnering with Martin-Baker to put it through the most extreme testing environment - equaling that of fighter ejection seat technology. The instrument was designed, developed, and built to endure anything a pilot might face and was put through a rigorous schedule of environment testing conditions that Martin-Baker deploys across its suite of fighter ejection seats. The test instrument captured the imagination of both Bremont and Martin-Baker, leading to the creation of the MB Viper.
This limited edition timepiece is notably the first model in Bremont's iconic Martin-Baker range to house an ENG300 movement, visible through its flat exhibition case back. The 43.5mm matte DLC Grade 5 titanium case is protected with a carbon coating and features an anodised 6082 aluminum case middle.
The self-winding ENG352 calibre boasts a 65-hour power reserve, with silicon escape wheel, free sprung hairspring with inertia weight timed balance, and KIF shock protection. The movement features rhodium plated bridges with a gold-plated automatic bridge and is encased by Bremont's trusted rubberized Anti-Shock mount, developed back in 2009 when the brand first started working with Martin-Baker.
The highly legible white dial is marked with green emission Super-LumiNova® and features a seconds track, while the chevron-decorated hands nod to the signature ejection pull handles seen on fighter ejection seats. The tactile matte black lugs taper towards the screw down crown and have pockets machined into the rear to reduce weight further. The MB Viper comes with two canvas straps, one orange and one black, completing the look.
