New: The BR 03 Red Radar Ceramic

Since it was founded in 1994, Bell & Ross’ core business and 1st passion have been aviation. In 2021, Bell & Ross has returned to this passion with joy and authenticity.

In pursuit of innovation Bell & Ross has re-imagined a past favourite and delivered us the BR 03 Red Radar Ceramic.

In 2011, Bell & Ross broke new ground and released the BR 01 Red Radar. Its graphics reproduced the scanning motion of the light beam on a radar screen with stunning realism. It was a phenomenal success at the time and remained one of the brand’s best-sellers for a long time.

Taking inspiration from the 2011 Red Radar, the Red Radar Ceramic also draws on the design of an aircraft control radar. This unique and playful dial displays time using a system of rotating discs and a single analogue hand. In a major new feature, the discs move two small screen-printed planes instead of what are usually hour and minute hands, making it look as though they are flying across the dial and telling time.

The passenger plane travels on the large outermost disc, showing the hours. The fighter plane flies on  the smaller inner disc and displays the minutes. The single analogue hand sits above the two discs and displays the seconds.
